Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have the 10 best embossing hacks and loads of tips and tricks along the way. To make sure you can have the best result with heat embossing and an enormous amount of fun of course:-)

To make this card I sprayed the background with Dylusions Shimmer Spray ( SBC | JGG | SSS ) and used the Tim Holtz – 3D Embossing Folder – Mechanics ( SBC | SSS ) for some texture.
To colour the different elements I used Ranger Embossing Powder( SBC | JGG | SSS ) I used a combination of Tim Holtz – Mechanical ( SBC | SSS ) cogwheels cut out of greyboard and some Garden Greens ( SBC | SSS ) to create the layers.
The focal point is the marbled chipboard heart is from an older die.
Another sprayed background with the gorgeous shimmer of the Dylusions Shimmer Sprays ( SBC | JGG | SSS ).
The multicolour embossed Tim Holtz – Detailed Butterflies ( SBC | SSS ) one cut in half added on the top and bottom. And the other combined with some thread, vintage music paper and Garden Greens ( SBC | SSS ) making it a great focal point.
Here is an ombre background with three colours of embossing powder. So simple to make but the results are always stunning, works great with glitter as well:-)
Another multicolour embossed Tim Holtz – Detailed Butterflies ( SBC | SSS ) as the focal point.
The Sizzix – Thinlits Dies – Mandala ( SBC ) cut out of Sizzix – Surfacez Cork ( SBC ) combined with thread and vintage music paper makes a great background as well.
Here the big Sizzix – Elegant Poinsettia ( SBC ) was usedf as the focal point. in both an embossed version combined with the Sizzix – Surfacez Cork ( SBC ). The Tim Holtz – Mechanical ( SBC | SSS ) was used in different sizes as the flower heart.
The background was coloured with the Dylusions Shimmer Sprays ( SBC | JGG | SSS ) again for some added sparkle. And for some added texture in the background, the 3D Embossing Folder – Intertwined ( SBC | SSS ) was used to emboss the panel.
Some Artquest Mini Prills ( JGG ) on two of the petals for a bit of extra texture in a matching colour give this card lots of interest.
And once you get going there is no stopping, before you know it your desk is filled with embossed panels and elements, good for lots of projects!
