Hi lovely crafty friends, fun or fancy fold cards are among the coolest cards to make, add in a secret lock or hidden closing and you’ve got a winner!
Totally inspired by the wonderful comments I’ve gotten on the first secret lock card I came up with another cool idea. Today I have a new Secret Lock card system that can be adjusted for any card size.
All techniques and ideas are shown in the video tutorial. Make sure to watch it to get all the best tips and tricks.
(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Among them are affiliate links that may be used at no cost to you.)
This is the card I made in the tutorial, the details in the 49 and Market – Vintage Artistry paper ( SBC ) are truly amazing and are so much fun to work with.
Here is a little overview of the papers, die-cuts and washi tape that are in the 49 and Market – Vintage Artistry Collector’s Edition – Collection Pack ( SBC ) These are all very happy colours, great for Spring type projects and to make happy mail:-)
The details of the die-cuts are done so perfectly, they are easy to get out of the sheet, attached in just a few places. And there is hardly any white showing as all the tiny openings are cut away as well, I absolutely love that.
The paper, as well as the die-cuts, are a nice sturdy quality which makes it easy to handle and will hold up excellent while distressing. Yes I am loving this paper:-)
The BUCKLE UP system is easy to adjust to any size card. Which makes it a very versatile way to add a hidden closing to your cards, mini albums, journals and so on, the sky is the limit.
I have put together a guide to help you out with the sizes and measurements, so it’s easy to check back.
Here’s an example of a folio-style card / mini album / journal / junk journal / DIY scrapbook addition. It’s big and can be adjusted to your needs, just follow your imagination!
Have loads of fun “Buckling Up” your projects! Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
This was so much fun to create. I love your cards and would like to show you the one I have made too
