Hi lovely crafty friends, cardstock is still one of my personal favourites and there are so many cool projects you can make with plain old cardstock. So today the focus is on cardstock only and I have teamed up with Ardyth again for this.
We are both going to make three cards giving you some cool ideas to try out yourself.
(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Among them are affiliate links that may be used at no cost to you.)
Be sure to watch the video to see all techniques at work and get the best tips on how to get amazing results. The video Ardyth made are linked in the description box as well as at the end of the video.
You can find a list of all the supplies I used at the end of this post under the close-up photos.
The first cards are simple with a five colour scheme. These cards show the difference between some added white in between the colour blocks and the colours tucked together.
For me the added white makes the colours pop more, but you can go either way.
3D embossing folders are so amazing, love this Tim Holtz – 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder – Crackle ( SBC )
Stepping up the first card design with another colour scheme and some flowers and greenery.
Both are from older collections by Tim Holtz the Garden Greens ( SBC ) and the Small Tattered Florals ( SBC )
And they still are great, nice big sets with a lot of options, great to have in your basic stash.
Another 3D Embossing Folder – Doily ( SBC ) was used for this card and the details are stunning.
The last card with even more layers and as I always say, you can stop at any time. I like the layered look, but maybe you prefer a bit of a calmer design.
And some more dimension with another 3D Embossing Folder – Geometric Lattice ( SBC ) It creates instant interest on a card and I am a fan:-)
So there you go, start out with one design and level it up by adding bits and pieces.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
