If you haven’t seen the video of the previous Designers Choice Die Set yet, make sure to check it out.

The December Designer Choice set is designed to make different shape boxes but of course can several elements be used to create cards and on other craft projects as it has many elements.
I made three box-card-pocket sets with the Valentines box dies to show you that it’s not just boxes that you can make. I love stretching my products just because it’s fun to see the possibilities. I went for three different colour schemes one being the Valentines red-white combo.

The box can be made in three ways with the dies that are in the set. I think this could be a great set for DIY wedding invitations, place cards and party favors and such or a Valentines Day party.

For the first set I used a blue turquoise colour scheme. For the card and box base I used Craft Perfect Weave Textured Card Teal Blue ( CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) combined with layers of Craft Perfect – Classic Card – Ocean Blue ( TNCUK | TNC ) and to add some sparkle I added Glitter Card – Turquoise Lake ( SBC | CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC )
These are all the layers I used for the square box, in the video I show you how to assemble it. I used double layers because I just love to layer:-) but you can make the box out of one layer too and adjust it to your own taste.

And this is the box up close with the sentiment dies used for the top and the box. The box is also real easy to close with the little half circle parts sticking out that with right into the top.

Here are the layers I used for the card, I cut all elements first so I have them ready to assemble. It’s fun to use the dies in different ways, like the box panels that I have used on the card and cut them out four times. I also cut apart the words from the panel and the heart I cut out of glitter card to add them on top for some added sparkle.

card & pocket

Here are the finished card and pocket, all made with the dies from the set which is so cool if you can make versatile projects, just love that. I used papers only for all the sets but you can embellish away with gorgeous drops, embossing powders or other fun elements.

Here you can see the stacked flowers in different colours up close, they are basic flowers just cut out the different papers. So no fancy techniques and very doable for everyone.

For this set I combined Craft Perfect – Classic Card – Cherry Red ( TNCUK | TNC )

with the gorgeous Glitter Card Ruby Ritz ( CST | CST | TNC | TNCUK )
and some Ultra Smooth Card ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) to make the colours stand out even more. This is more of a Valentines colour scheme although my husband thought it was very Christmassy:-)

Here’s the card with matching pocket, it’s always fun to make a set like this and use up some scraps.

Here is the little pocket I made with the basic panel from the box, it’s super easy and fun to use the die in a different way.

And this is another way to make the box, with the triangle shape and just three panels.

And here’s the thrid set I made with Tonic Studios – Pearlescent Card – Rusted Crimson ( SBC | CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) combined with
Mirror Card Satin Effect Copper Mine ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )

and some details with Glitter Card Welsh Gold ( TNCUK | TNC ) to add a touch of sparkle.

Here are the card with the pocket together.

Here you can see the layers I used for the card, I like to cut the parts before I start assembling. I ended up not using all flowers but I can use them on other projects. I the video I walk you through the complete process of the boxes and cards.
