Layering, stacking, horizontal and vertical, it’s as simple as that to create a pretty design. Like I did here on this page in a Joggles Medley Journal ( JGG )

With the three different size pages, the medley journal makes a great starting point for a lot of creative fun.

My starting point for the washi tape is the Dina Wakley Media – Media Tape – Blank ( SBC | JGG | SSS ) that can be decorated in many ways. It comes in a package with three different sizes giving you loads of options.

Washi strips with the torn ends make a fun background for a card. Add a big panel and simple sentiment in the middle and you’re done.

Small left-over pieces can make a great border, like on this journal page, but it will work perfectly for a card design as wel.

Lots of layers on this art journal page, the media tape is a bit see-through. This gives you some extra texture and the option to create fun backgrounds this way.

The leftover pieces I used on the art journal page that I cleaned the brayer on, making a pattern on purpose. This makes a nice starting point to add more layers or just pop on a simple sentiment or quote.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
