Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have more cards with the Tim Holtz Masquerade and this time they have a super elegant style. I used a bunch of techniques on the cards to get different looks along with the big mask as this is my favorite from the set.
In this video I am going to show you different techniques to decorate the masks and turn them into cards using an elegant colour scheme, so be sure to watch the video to see how this is done.
I have used the Tim Holtz Masquerade die ( SBC | CRF | CST ) on both cards and this die set can be used all year around. I made Halloween cards in a previous video. If you haven’t seen the Halloween version of the Masquerade dies video yet, make sure to check it out.
I coloured the mask with Distress Oxides Spray – Antique Linen ( SBC | CST | CRF ) and I used the Tim Holtz 3D Embossing Folder – Botanical ( SBC | CRF | CST ) for the background.
I also applied the Glacier Paste on the mask with a Tim Holtz – Layering Stencil – Mini Set 30 ( SBC )
I added the mask on a piece of vellum on the card with some thread for extra texture and to make the mask stand out a bit more. I used Craft Perfect Ultra Smooth Card ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) for both masks and backgrounds on both cards.
On this card I used some other layers again to get a different look. It’s fun to play and combine the masks with different materials. I coloured the mask with the same Distress Oxides Spray – Antique Linen ( SBC | CST | CRF ) as the first card.
On this card I used the Tim Holtz – 3D Embossing Folder – Crackle ( SBC | CRF | CST ) to emboss the background and I added Distress Oxides Ink – Antique Linen ( SBC | CST | CRF ) to bring out the texture even more.
I applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste – Silver Gem ( SBC | CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) on the left side
and Moonstone ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) on the right side of mask with a Tim Holtz – Layering Stencil – Mini Set 30 ( SBC )
I finished with some Nuvo – Glitter Drops – Golden Sunset ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) to add some more sparkle and add to the elegant style of the card.
I hope you liked this post, thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
