Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have something fun to share, a super cool faux stained glass effect and it’s super easy to make. I used the die from Tonic Studios Craft Kit 24 and Nuvo Alcohol markers. The Craft Kit is only available for two more days and it has an adorable exclusive keyring and a gift voucher to celebrate two years of Craft Kits. So you better hurry if you want one you can check it out here

(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.)

Usually the kits are already packed with products, but on top of the amazing products with exclusive dies and stamps that are in kit 24 you also get a gorgeous Nuvo drops keyring, they come in three colours and you’ll receive one of those colours and it’s totally adorable.

And last
but not least you will get a Tonic Birthday Voucher for the value of £10 that
you can spend across the Tonic Store at
http://www.tonic-studios.co.uk or a Tonic Birthday Voucher for the
value of $15 for the USA Tonic Store at

TNCUK ) and here for Tonic Studios Craft
Kit USA (

This is the third group of cards I made with the Craft Kit you can check out the products and first cards I made here. If you haven’t seen the fast and easy Birthday Cards video yet, make sure to check it out. The Faux Stained glass effect gives a gorgeous shine to your projects. There are different ways to get a similar faux
stained glass effect but I think the way I used for these cards is
the fastest way. Be sure to watch the video to see how this super cool Faux Stained glass effect is done.

I coloured the backgrounds with Nuvo Alcohol markers and they are super easy to work with and blend fabulously. You don’t need any experience to create a pretty project. And like all Tonic Studios and nuvo products they are easy to hold which makes it so much fun to work with.

The colours I used for the first card are Tropical Ocean 363 and Aqua Spray 360 from
the Aquamarine set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Sweet vanilla 473 from the Fair Skin Tones set ( SBC | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Paradise Pink 453 from the Rosy Pinks set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Butterscotch 404 from the Honey Amber set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Ginger Peach 476 from the Apricot Ombre set ( SBC | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) set and
Wild Iris 436 from the Palma Violets set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )

Here you can see the pretty gloss from the stained glass effect. I used Craft Perfect Classic Card Mustard YellowCRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) in the back behind the frame and on top to add a bit more of a bold colour. And it goes great with the colours from the frame.

I used some bits I had left from previous cards cut out of Craft Perfect Glitter Card Ruby Ritz ( CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) to tuck under the circle in the center. this glitter card gives some extra sparkle to a card that is really gorgeous and as you can see a little detail has a great effect.

The die and stamp I used on all three cards are as always exclusives from Craft Kit 24. Each kit is available for one month only and there are different ways to get the kit, you can check all details on the site Tonic Studios UK + rest world and  Tonic Studios Craft Kit USA

On this card I used some lighter colours which makes the card a bit more cute:-) I used
Aqua Spray 360 from the Aquamarine set SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Paradise Pink 453 from the Rosy Pinks set SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Lavender Sky 433 from the Palma Violets set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Honeycomb 389 from the Fragrant Oranges set ( SBC | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Apricot Blush 475 from the Fair Skin Tones set ( SBC | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Cantaloupe 387 from the Apricot Ombre set ( SBC | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) and
Tiger Lily 374 from the Coral Reef set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )

Here you can see the details of the card the gorgeous gloss from the stained glass effect again and the Craft Perfect Glitter Card Ruby Ritz ( CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) I added behind the frame and also on top.

I added a few Vintage drops as a fun detail.

When I use multiple colours next to each
I go over them again with the lighter colour so they blend perfectly. You can combine different shades like
orange and yellow for instance and that will blend in really well. I also used the Nuvo – Glitter Marker – Wild Lavender ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) that comes in this months kit on this card for the balloons and the present.

For the last card I used
Wild Iris 436 from the Palma violets set SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Aqua Spray 360 from the Aquamarine set SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Sweet vanilla 473 from the Fair Skin Tones set SBC | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Butterscotch 404 from the Honey Amber set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Ginger Peach 476 from the Apricot Ombre set SBC | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) set
Bright Sunflower from the Sunshine Yellows set ( SBC | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Pink Grapefruit 373 from the Coral Reef set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Delicate Rose 449 from the Rosy Pinks set ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
Wild Iris 436 from the Palma Violets set SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )

The nuvo alcohol markers are available in packs of three co-ordinating colours. I added those in the thumbnails below.

Here you can see the colour of the Glitter Marker – Wild Lavender ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) up close it add a fun sparkle.

And for this card I used Craft Perfect Weave Textured Card Pumpkin Orange ( CST | TNCUK | TNC ) in the back and on top and I added a die cut circle on top in the same colour. The little stars came out of the black frame and I save them as an embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
