The colour charts can be used to check out the actual colour of different products and/or to download and fill in yourself if you really like a particular product or if you have “full collection syndrome” to keep track of the products you already have, so you don’t buy double. I find it also helps when you are stuck on a project to check a colour chart, to make a pretty colour combination to start with
