For lots of you it has been hard dealing with the Corona virus and it’s restrictions to our daily life. Inspiration often comes from going out, meeting new people, so what to do if you lost your crafty MoJo (Motivation & Joy:-), I’d say, keep it simple.
No fancy techniques or an amazing amount of products, just some simple products from your stash and of course keep the cleaning to a minimum, unless cleaning is your source of inspiration then, clean away:-)
So make sure to watch today’s video to see all techniques in action and spark your imagination.
For the first technique you need ink, tape and some paper of course, to make these fun backgrounds.
For this technique to work you want the less sticky tape like Therm O Web – iCraft – Purple Tape – Removable ( SBC | ELH | THR )
The bright highly pigmented Catherine Pooler Dye Ink ( SBC ) will definitely get you in a happy mood.
If you haven’t seen the Make Your Cards Pop With One Colour Scheme video yet, make sure to check it out. You’ll see 5 more ways to use Catherine Pooler inks.
Here I used a page out of my new Art Journal ( JGG ) and I made a card with the leftover ink.
I used Aqua Flow Pens ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) which are watercolour and brush in one, so no cleaning required, love that!
When you like the watercolour look, make sure to check out this Playlist: Easy watercolour effects with Nuvo Aqua Flow with lots of ideas to keep you in a crafty mood.
Gelatos ( SBC ) are always fun, the cute chapstick like crayons are good for lots of fun techniques. I kept it simple again with the Hero Arts Stencil – Large Flower ( SBC | HA )
For me finishing a card with a simple sentiment or die cut and some Nuvo – Dream Drops – Love Potion ( SBC | ELH | TNCUK | TNC ) with the pearlescent finish is enough to make a stunning card in a jiffy.
Pick a few happy colours ink like these Scrapbook.com Hybrid Inks ( SBC ) and an Acrylic Block ( SBC ) in the shape you like and start “stamping”.
This mini acrylic block is extra thick which makes it way easier to use to stamp with and they come in different shapes. Though I have to say this round one is pretty cute:-)
Distress Oxide Inks ( SBC ) are always great to get in the mood. Lots of colours to pick from, I’d say go for your favorite colours to make it super easy on yourself. A fun stencil also helps, this one is from Studio Light Art By Marlene Mask ( JGG )
This technique is crafting and cleaning at once, this will save you time to clean up and keep you in a crafty mood.
Are you ready to dive into your craft space, have lots of fun and make sure to save this post/video to come back to whenever you’re stuck again!
