Hi lovely crafty friends, today I am using one product that often gets overlooked by me or ends up at the bottom of the pile and it’s such a shame.
The product I’m talking about is so versatile and very affordable and probably in every crafters stash.

Vellum totally rocks!
I am talking about vellum and I want to show you one of my favorite techniques that makes it even more gorgeous and gives so much more options to use it too.
My favorite vellum brands, that I also used in the alcohol ink video, are Bazzill Basics – Vellum – White ( SBC | ELH ), Hero Arts – Classic Vellum ( SBC ) and the gorgeous a bit thinner Lawn Fawn – Pearlescent Vellum ( SBC | ELH )
Glam it up!
For this card I used Ranger Ink – Antiquities Embossing Powder – Turquoise ( SBC | ELH | RNG ). The powders from this Antiquities series are so gorgeous, definitely a new favorite of mine.
The pattern is made with Kaisercraft – Designer Templates – Distressed Diamonds ( SBC ), the sentiment is from the Sizzix – Thinlits – Script Friendship Words ( SBC | SZZ ) die set.
Sizzix – Thinlits – Wildflower Stems 2 ( SBC | SZZ ) is the big flower cut out of silver Idea-ology – Tim Holtz – Kraft Stock – Metallic ( SBC ).
This pretty mandala like shape is made with the Carabelle Studio Art Template – Comme Des Ronds ( JGG ). It was combined with Ranger Ink – Embossing Powder – Lime Tinsel ( SBC | ELH | JGG | RNG ) a super pretty bright and happy colour.
Tim Holtz – Shadow Script 2 ( SBC ) was used to cut the sentiment was again with the silver Kraf Stock, glued on a bit of silver thread as a fun touch.
Another fun glammed up vellum background was made with the Ranger Ink Embossing Powder – Gold Tinsel ( SBC | ELH | RNG ) combined with Kaisercraft – 6 x 6 Designer Templates – Tiny Triangles ( SBC ).
This stencil has the cutest little triangle shapes perfect to spice up your vellum or any other project.
The vellum was taped to a piece of Craft Perfect – Glitter Card – Opulent Orchid ( TNCUK | TNC ) to lift the colour a bit.
Some big Nuvo – Crystal Drops – Pink Orchid ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC | ELH ) are perfect to add some extra dimension and interest to the card.
The sentiment was made with a retired Tim Holtz die.
On this card the vellum was glammed up with Ranger Ink – Embossing Powder – Aqua Tinsel ( SBC | ELH | JGG | RNG ), a nice bright colour which has a little sparkle in it.
The pattern is made with Kaisercraft – Designer Templates – Distressed Diamonds ( SBC )
On this card the sentiment used is from the Sizzix – Thinlits – Script Friendship Words ( SBC | SZZ ) die set cut out of silver Kraft Stock.
Tim Holtz Thinlits Die – Crochet ( SBC | SZZ ) was cut out of Tonic Studios – Craft Perfect – Glitter Card Turquoise Lake ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) for some extra sparkle.
Invisible Adhering
For me the perfect way to adhere vellum invisible is Tissue Tape. I have used Craft Perfect Tissue Tape but I also tried other brands and they work just as well.
I just do not like spray glue that’s often used with vellum and the glue I normally use doesn’t do the trick when it comes to invisible adhering.
The Craft Perfect – Double Sided Tissue Tape comes in 12mm ( TNCUK | TNC ) and 6mm ( TNCUK | TNC ) the 6mm is the one I use the most, it’s wide enough to do the trick and also good to handle.
I hope this post was helpful and made you are ready to glam up your vellum, have lots of fun! Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
