Hi lovely crafty friends, making your projects stand out is super easy just by adding some texture. And you’ll be surprised how something simple, can give you the best effects.

I am going to show you a few easy ways to add texture for free using painter’s tape so make sure to stick with me:-)

(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Among them are affiliate links that may be used at no cost to you.)

In the video you’ll see how you can create some gorgeous texture for free. I’ll be making a few backgrounds.

With painters or masking tape, Distress Oxide ink in a happy colour scheme and some smooth you’re all set to create along.

For the backgrounds, I used Distress Oxide ink in a very happy colour scheme, we’re heading towards spring don’t we:-)

By the way, any ink will work for this so you can grab your favourite inks!

The texture is really amazing on these cards and it’s super simple using the happy colour scheme. A bit of ink blending along the edges and they make pretty backgrounds.

But there are more ways to use the tape and even your trash before it ends up in a bin that is. The same colour scheme is used in two more ways making for a feminine and more masculine one.

Adding the cards to a notecard makes them a great base, to have on hand when you are in a hurry. Choose black, white or coloured will all work. And once you need them you can finish them with a sentiment

Or add a butterfly, because butterflies always rock and work for my occasion in my opinion. Make sure to give these fun techniques a try!
