Hi lovely crafty friends, what is the first thing you do when you get a handmade card? You look at it obviously and then you feel, go over some texture with your fingers, maybe even sniff on it:-)
So I was thinking, why not make a “feel” card on purpose with a nice soft touch.
I have a bunch of card ideas again in this video tutorial. So make sure to watch it to get all the best tips and tricks.

How about a complete squishy background, simple, soft and extremely huggable. Finish with a nice sentiment, how easy can it be.
The new Sizzix – Thinlits Dies – Spring Type ( SBC ) are a nice size for a big sentiment.
So super simple, but foam is the perfect material to make some super “cheesy” cards.
While I was at it, coming up with some cheesy quotes to go along with the card, they sort of kept on coming. There was no stopping it, lol. So I decided to put them together on a new FREEBIE.
You can grab yours below, you can find them in the Treasure Trunk, in the Quotes and Sentiments Section!
Use foam for the complete background or just a sentiment for some dimension. They both work great to add some interest to your cards.
Combine regular with glitter foam in the same colour to add interest. All together on a patterned paper background with the new Graphic 45 Wild And Free papers ( SBC | SSS ) making this a fun playful card, also great for guys.
You can also use some parts or pieces to create a partial background and combine it with some drops.
Using different layers is another way to get some diversity. Combined with the Graphic 45 patterned papers you get a super cool effect.
When we are talking about soft and huggable, do not rule out Sizzix – Surfacez – Cork Roll ( SBC ). It adds so much interest to your card, it has gorgeous texture and is soft, what more do we need? Some layers maybe:-)
Hi Deb, the foam is 2 or 3 millimeters thick, not quite sure I got it:-) Just look for dense foam, that will hold up best, often it’s even super cheap foam?
Gerry. Where do you buy the foam, and what thickness is it?
Cute cards for sure!
