Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have some extremely simple embossing techniques that you can do with supplies you already have right at home. And I will show you some tools you may not have thought about, to use with embossing powder.
And you probably also have them right at home, how cool is that. Let’s check it out.
All techniques and ideas are shown in the video tutorial. Make sure to watch it to get all the best tips and tricks.
(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Among them are affiliate links that may be used at no cost to you.)
For the backgrounds, I have used a bunch of different multicoloured embossing powders. These powders are great to use on backgrounds to make them stand out and show them at their best.
The first two powders are from Lindy’s Stamp Gang and they come in a set of five one called Metal Maniacs ( SBC ) and the other one is called You Rock! ( SBC )
With cool names like that you’ll expect the powders to look amazing and they really do. They have some bigger chunks and smaller grains, which will give you lots of variation in colour and size of the melted end result.
The Cosmic Shimmer – Mixed Media Embossing Powder – Bronze Age ( SBC | JGG ), Funky Cold Patina ( SBC ) and Embossing Powder – Raspberry Ice Cream ( SBC ) all have a fun colour mix. The Grain size doesn’t differ very much making them very easy to melt.
All powders and the Mixed Media ones, even more, have loads of different colours combined making sure they add a heap of interest to any project.
And two more mixed embossing powders by Ranger Ink – Speckle Embossing Powder – Cotton Candy ( SBC | JGG | SSS ) and Blueberry ( SBC | JGG | SSS )
