Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have a simple art journal page, this idea can also be used on a card. I used a combination of Art By Marlene stencils and dies.
With simple layers and added texture you can easily create dimensions and interest to your projects.
In the video tutorial, you’ll see the art journal pages from start to finish. Below are close-up pictures of the pages all products are linked in the visual supply list at the end.
(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Among them are affiliate links that may be used at no cost to you.)
Art Journaling is a great way to test new techniques, try new things and products and just play. Art Journaling is about having some fun, work on your skills and take your mind off things for a while.
This Art Journal is great if you are a beginner. The Joggles Smooth & Sturdy White Disc Bound Journals – 6″ x 6″ ( JGG ) come with pages you can easily take out so it’s less intimidating.
There are also Additional Pages ( JGG ) available to at to your journal. Depending on how bulky you are working you may need more or fewer pages.
The Journals come in a variety of sizes, from big to super cute and tiny, here’s the link to all Disc Bound Watercolor Journals ( JGG )
The focal point and tiny elements are from the Art By Marlene Rubber Stamp Set Dramatic Dots ( JGG | ECS ) The big flower is a great shape to use as a focal point and also a great size to colour. This good quality stamp set is one you can use on many projects.
I have used Tim Holtz – Distress Texture Paste Matte ( SBC | JGG ) which is a peanut butter-like paste in thickness and it’s super easy to apply. If you want to learn more about working with stencils and pastes, you can grab the free Guide below.
Maybe you are not into Art Journaling, you can use the techniques, style and design also on any other project, like cards and scrapbook pages.
Art journaling is fun and it doesn’t have to be hard at all, are you ready to give it a go? Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
