The first cards is for my mom and dad. And because my dad doesn’t really care about cards, I made it all to my moms taste:-)

With different shades of purple and a hint of turquoise which are colours my mom loves, she will like this card for sure.

On the base card along the edges you see the Tim Holtz Stunning Snowflake ( SBC | SZZ ) cut out of Craft Perfect – Glitter Card – Berry Fizz ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC )

The snowflake is cut up in parts so it’s just 3 flakes added in half along the sides of the card.

Make sure to pin your favorite card to your Christmas card or similar board so you can easily find it back. And make sure to share it with your friends, so they can makes some gorgeous cards for their loved ones too!

For the next layer I embossed a piece of cards with Sizzix – Christmas – 3D Textured Impressions – Embossing Folders – Jeweled Snowflakes( SBC | SZZ ).

After that a layer was added Dylusions Shimmer Spray – Crushed Grape ( SBC | JGG ). This adds a gorgeous deep purple layer with different shades and beautiful shimmer in the same colour.

The card is finished with a big focal point. The snowflake is cut out of the same glitter card that is along the sides. Repeating colours is always a good way to make that layer go great together.

The smaller snowflake cut out of Craft Perfect – Glitter Card – Turquoise Lake ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) gives a nice contrast with the purple.

The complete piece is added on white card to make a mat and make it stand out more.

In the middle and on the tips of the flake there are some crystals. These Studio Katia Crystals, Jade ( ELH | STD ) add some dimension as well it adds to the luxurious look of the finished card.

This card was made for my sister and she loves green. Totally the opposite of me, so I am using colours that I like best out of shades of green too. Crafting is supposed to be lots of fun and I am a colour person. This means I love to work with colour, I like as well as the the reciever:-)

So there are some great layers on this card adding dimension and interest. Which makes you don’t see everything right away.

The first layer on the dark green card is embossed which alway gives some great instant dimension. The Sizzix – 3D Embossing Folder – Geometric Lattice( SBC | SZZ ) gives you a great layered effect.

For the second layer the Tim Holtz – Kraft Stock – Metallic – 2 ( SBC ) was added as a mat for the next layer.

Then another embossed card was used that was coloured with Tim Holtz – Distress Oxides Spray – Bundled Sage ( SBC | ELH | JGG ). After drying I added a layer of
Nuvo – Expanding Mousse – Bramley Apple ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ). This makes the embossed pattern pop more and gives a nice shine. Which is a nice contrast to the chalky mat look of the spray.

The snowflakes and stars are cut out of a piece of foiled card with Deco Foil Transfer Sheets, Lime Satin ( ELH | JGG ). After cutting the foiled card gets sort of a satin look which is super pretty.

Cutting the card also makes it a bit sticky, this is easy to solve. Just rub over it with a Ranger Ink – Anti-Static Pouch ( SBC | RNG ) and the stickyness is gone keeping the beautiful foil shine.

The small flake inlay is cut out of Craft Perfect Glitter Card – Welsh Gold ( TNCUK | TNC ). Combined with the metallic Kraft Stock for the outer snowflake adding to the dimension of the focal point.

I hope you are inspired to make some extra special cards for your favorite people. Have lots of fun creating your gorgeous projects.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
