Hi lovely crafty friends, I have a fun new product to share. The ranger Stickles Glitter Gels are a new addition to the well known Stickles product range. With gorgeous glitter like in the original Stickles Glitter glues, but now as a gel and with added chunky bits make this a super cool product.

The chunky bits are circle or star shaped and making this absolutely gorgeous and fun addition to your craft stash. The bigger chunky bits are really cool and l haven’t seen any pastes like this from other brands.
These stickles are gel based so it’s a bit different compared to other pastes you can use with stencils. The gel has a funny texture, a bit like not too soft cheese spread or a bit like chewing gum even.
Because of the thickness pick up quite a bit, more than needed and add that on the stencil. Then you can spread it like the other pastes but because it’s quite though you really need to work this in
When working with stencils, choose one with a pattern that has big openings because of the chunky bits. This way they have some space and they will look at their best. You can apply a thin or a bit thicker layer, thin for a more transparent effect like you can see on the background above. And thick for a more opaque result like I did on the colour chart you can see below.
The Gels are available in six colours, with clear drying gel, gorgeous sparkly glitter and star or circle shaped shiny bits

For applying the Stickles Gels there are different options. These are the tools I like to use with the Gels and other pastes. The American Crafts Silicon Palette Knife ( SBC ) and the super cute Nuvo – Media Spatulas ( SBC | TNC | TNCUK | ELH ).
The Palette knife I like to use for applying the paste to bigger surfaces like on a complete card and the media spatulas are great for adding paste to smaller areas.
