simple wet wipe painting

Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have a super-fast technique to colour backgrounds. I think this is one of the most simple and fun ways to use paint for colouring a background.

I love this technique, and today I give it a fun twist by adding one more step.

(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Among them are affiliate links that may be used at no cost to you.

In the video, I give some tips on how to get the best result, to make some amazing colourful cards. By adding one more step you can take this technique to a new level.

So be sure to watch the video to see how this is done.

I used two kinds of paste glossy and mat. They are the same in thickness and are both smooth but they dry differently.

Ranger Ink – Texture Paste – Transparent Matte ( SBC | RNG )
and Transparent Gloss ( SBC | RNG )

The paste looks exactly the same when you apply it you can see the effect just after drying.

If you want all the ins and out of using paste and stencils check out this previous post.

You can just add the colours randomly and keep adding until the background is filled. You can leave parts open too if you like, I like my background fully coloured:-)

For this technique, you can use lots of different colour schemes. The Dylusions paints come in pretty bold colours, but you can use other acrylic paints too.

Here I used the following combination, which looks fabulous together
