Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have some fun cards with the gorgeous alcohol pearls and an easy way to get some texture. I always love texture on my cards and other projects. For me it makes the cards come alive more. And another fun thing I noticed that people always want to feel the card when there is some texture, gloss or shiny thing on a card.

I have two different ways to share to create texture with alcohol ink pearls. There are more ways to create texture and I have videos with those techniques, you can find them here and here
Be sure to watch today’s video to see the techniques in action and get tips on how to get the best result.

For the first card I used four colours Alcohol Inks – Pearl – Celestial ( SBC | JGG ) Enchanted ( SBC | JGG ) Intrigue ( SBC | JGG ) & Tranquil( SBC | JGG ). The Alcohol ink pearls are opaque and have a gorgeous pearly shine.

To create texture I used the
Sizzix – Tim Holtz  3D Texture Embossing Folder – Botanical ( SBC | CST ) which gives an amazing texture and the Ranger Yupo Paper ( SBC ) can easily handle that. I used Tim Holtz Shadow Script 2 ( SBC | CST ) for all sentiments. I cut them out of Craft Perfect Ultra Smooth Card ( CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) I added a layer of Nuvo Glacier White Embossing Powder ( SBC | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) with the super sticky Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Pad ( TNCUK | TNC | CRF | CST ) to get a glossy finish.

For the second cards I used Alcohol Inks – Pearl – Enchanted ( SBC | JGG ) Deception ( SBC | JGG ) and Splendor ( SBC | JGG ) I added some Nuvo – Crystal Drops Gloss – Morning Dew ( SBC | CRF | CST | JGG ) these clear drying drops are amazing, I really love because you can use them in many ways, they just look like a water drop, gorgeous.

To create the texture on this card I used the Tim Holtz 3D Embossing Folder – Mechanics ( SBC | CST | CRF ) Sanding the surface gives that little bit extra to make the pattern pop with these bold colours.

For this card I only used two colours alcohol Inks – Pearl – Enchanted( SBC | JGG ) and Intrigue ( SBC | JGG ) Using a straw to make the colours blend works really well. To create texture I used the Tim Holtz Embossing Folder – Flourish a bit older embossing folder, this is just a regular one and that works great with Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper ( SBC ) too.

I used the same Tim Holtz Shadow Script 2 ( SBC | CST ) sentiment die, I really love this set for it has great words that can be used on many occasions and they are a nice size. I finished with some Nuvo – Glitter Drops – Sherbert Shimmer ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) I always like the look they add to the design in a similar colour or just the opposite, they look fab either way.

For this card I used the Alcohol Inks – Pearl – Villainous ( SBC | JGG ) Sublime ( SBC | JGG ) Envy ( SBC | JGG ) and Celestial ( SBC | JGG ) this cool colour scheme is so pretty with the gorgeous pearl finish.

This is the easiest and cheapest technique to create texture, for this card I used kitchen paper,. The texture you get depends on the pattern of the kitchen paper. I used the Nuvo – Crystal Drops Gloss – Morning Dew ( SBC | CRF | CST | JGG ) and the Tim Holtz Shadow Script 2 ( SBC | CST ) also on this card to create some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
